What is the refund policy?
Refunds are permitted with the following limitations. Please read carefully:
Cancelations prior to 1/1/2017 will receive a 100% refund, minus a $25.00 processing fee.
Cancelations after 1/1/2017 and BEFORE 5/14/2017 will receive a 75% refund, minus a $25.00 processing fee.
Cancelation after 5/15/017: NO REFUND.
Why are all tickets purchased or canceled after 5/15/17 non-refundable?
This is a small convention with a limited number of tickets per event. By making the tickets non-refundable after a certain date, people who are serious about attending will have a better chance of getting a ticket to their favorite event instead of those events being sold out by people who were merely reserving tickets “just in case.”
What is the transfer policy?
All tickets are non-transferable.
How do I contact Nola StoryCon?

Are there ID requirements or any age restrictions?
IDs are required to pick up badges at the hotel, and badges are required for entry into ALL ticketed events. Events are open to all ages, but proof of legal drinking age will be required for those buying liquor at the cash bar.
How many books can I bring from home to get signed?
We have two options in 2017. Free admission to the mass signing includes up to ten books from home per attendee. However, if you want to bring more than 10 “from home” books, you may pay a $10 flat fee, which covers unlimited books from home. More details on that here.
All “from home” books MUST to be stickered by event staff. To speed your entry into the signing, staff will be happy to pre-sticker your books at registration or at any time the registration desk is open.
Exceptions – The additional $10 flat fee for more than 10 “from home” books does not apply to:
1) Convention pre-orders handled by our official book seller, Murder By The Book. These books will be distributed at Nola StoryCon and will be pre-stickered.
2) Books given away as prizes at Nola StoryCon, which will also be pre-stickered.
3) Any books pre-ordered from or purchased on-site from our bookseller, Murder by the Book.
4) Nola High Roller ticket holders.
Important note for ALL readers about the signing:
If an author has a line, you are allowed only 10 books signed at a time per author, whether they are newly purchased or “from home” books. Should you have more than 10 books by an author that has a line, you will need to go to the back of the line and wait to get the rest of your books signed. This will be strictly enforced because some authors have extensive backlists, and we want to be fair to other readers that are attending, plus help prevent line bottle-necks that could impact fire code rules. Thank you.

Why did the prices change?
When is the next NOLA StoryCon?
We (host authors Melissa Marr, Kelley Armstrong, and Jeaniene Frost) initially intended this to be a one-time event where we could hang out with readers and authors in our favorite city. However, enthusiasm for NOLA StoryCon 2016 was so overwhelming, tickets sold out the first day that they went on sale. That meant many readers didn’t get a chance to attend, and we received a lot of disappointed emails. That’s why we hosted another NOLA StoryCon in 2017, and moved it to a different hotel that could accommodate a larger venue.
NOLA StoryCon has been an amazing experience for us. We’ve had so much fun, but it has also taken up quite a bit of time. Unlike other conventions, this has always been a small, host-author-run event without a stable of paid staff. Since all three of us are already busy with our own careers and deadlines, we knew we’d be overextending ourselves to commit to another NOLA StoryCon in 2018 or even 2019. That is why we are taking time off to assess our schedules, and to get caught up on our own professional commitments.
